I am so disappointed with the Lodge 10 inch seasoned cast iron skillet. One large section of the rim, about a quarter of it, including part of the smaller handle, was not smoothed and finished. It is jagged and rough. I purchased this as a Christmas gift. The item was part of a grocery pickup order, and I didn't notice how marred the product was until I got home. Now I'll have to lug this item back to the store to get a refund. Obviously, quality control is lacking where this item was made. I'm debating whether I'll purchase another Lodge 10 inch skillet or seek a similar product from another brand.

Not like they used to be made for sure. They do last a long time so I needed to replace mine. Quality is super noticeable vs once made 20 years ago. The edges are not as smooth and the brim isn't beveled off like you would want it to be, pretty straight corner edge that feels almost sharp. Handles is nice and smooth though. Like any cast iron, needs different care to keep it seasoned. Seasoned doesn't mean your job is done seasoning it. Every time you cook in it, it gets seasoned. Wish the cooking surface of it was smoother for sure, like I said, I remember them different. So far so good, but I know different. And didn't want to go with a different, more affordable brand.
