I'm new to cooking with cast iron, I've always been intimidated. This pan is very heavy and requires 2 hands but cooks my food very well and is large enough to cook multiple types of food at once. I highly recommend. It's a great pan, especially for the cost.

I love these Lodge cast iron skillets!! I thought the 12 inch might be too large, so I ordered the 10 and 8 inch!! I'm 62 and my wife passed early this year. I'm disabled and I'm in wheelchair that puts my face at stovetop level. I needed heavier cookware on the stove. The Lodge brand has answered the call on every level!! I can't tell how pleased I am. I was amazed how the 12 inch Lodge iron skillet heated evenly and retained heat, even on my electric stove!! My dinner tasted so much better and cleanup was so fast!!
